Australian Federal Police (AFP) Traffic Infringement Notice email campaign (scam)

The AFP is urgently warning the public of an email campaign currently circulating throughout Australia and internationally that requests payment for a bogus AFP Traffic Infringement Notice. If you have received the email you should delete it immediately and report the details under the ACORN category of ‘Online Scam or Fraud’ or to SCAMwatch.

If your system has been infected with Ransomware such as CryptoLocker please report this under the ACORN category of ‘Attack on Computer System’.
